Jahna Cedar Consulting Services was tasked with developing comprehensive HR policies and procedures for a newly established earthmoving business. Central to this initiative was the creation of an Indigenous Participation policy, Indigenous mentoring management plan, working in Indigenous communities protocols policy and HR Management plan. INTERNATIONAL SPEAKING ENGAGEMENT AT GATHERING OF NATIONS POWWOW IN ALBUQUERQUE
Jahna Cedar was privileged to represent Australia as one of seven Aboriginal delegates at the prestigious Gathering of Nations in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Stepping onto the sacred grounds of an American Indian Powwow, Jahna was immersed in a profound cultural exchange, surrounded by the vibrant regalia, rhythmic drumbeats, and the warmth of the Indigenous community. Engaging in panel discussions and cultural exchanges, she shared powerful stories of resilience and the quest for identity. Jahna's participation included dancing with over 2,000 First Nation people for the Grand Entry and visiting ancient sites of Kuaua Pueblo, which deepened her connection to the shared struggles and triumphs of Indigenous peoples. This experience not only showcased the rich cultural heritage of Aboriginal Australians but also reinforced the importance of global Indigenous solidarity. IWI-INDIGENOUS WOMEN IN INDUSTRY CONFERENCE
As 1 of 3 Australian ambassadors at the IWI-Indigenous Women in Industry conference held in Rotorua, New Zealand, Jahna had the honour of co-leading a delegation of 10 women from across Australia, The conference, which gathered over 200 First Nations women from around the world, provided a platform for meaningful dialogue on economic development, independence, and international networking. Key outcomes included increased visibility of Indigenous women leaders, economic empowerment, traditional knowledge sharing, and enhanced inclusion in policies promoting economic stewardship. This experience reinforced the collective commitment to driving positive change and celebrating Indigenous excellence.
